NBA World! (NBA – BAD SPORT)

January 16, 2013

People,

A short one today:-

I just wanted to know the readers thoughts, to see if you think that D-Wade is as bad a sport as I think he is.

I can’t help but mention that everytime I’ve seen him get a missed call when he is in possession this is then followed by the usual complaint to the ref, he then comes back down the other end and fouls the oppostion player really hard.

I can’t forget last years All-Star game where he obviously got a missed call from Kobe’s swipe, then he ran down the court and gave Kobe a whack on the nose that caused Kobe to have a mild concussion and small break.

I’ve seen him do it several times and he gets away with it alot (I’ve checked his Flagrant foul and Tech foul stats and it seems that he has hardly any against his name. But when I watch him he does these really hard dodgy fouls and I’m suprised he hasn’t been suspended for it. It’s just something that I’ve noticed and I’m keen to see if anyone has spotted it also.

Let me know what you think. Tell me if you saw the possessions I’m talking about from the most recent two Heat games?

i think he has just found his limit on what he can get away with and he sticks to that.

imagine if players from the 80s were playing today? half of them would be suspended at any one time and they would all be called dirty players.

the league has gotten a bit soft and we are fans have gotten soft with it.

we see a hard foul these days and auto think – ejection with maybe a 1/2 game suspenion.

where in the good old days a hard foul was a normal foul. players had to earn everything, where these days if u bump the cutter they will call something.

i think Wade is a big baby, but not a dirty player. he sooks alot.

THE HEAT AS A TEAM AND WADE ESPECIALLY ARE THE DOG ASS CHEATS OF THE NBA.
WHO CARES ABOUT NBA PLAYERS FROM THE 80’S THAT’S 40 YEARS AGO WHERE IN THE 2010+ ERA BRA MOST OF THOSE 80’S PLAYERS WOULD NOT MAKE THE NBA NOWDAYS. BOOYA

      • Look, the Heat get away with murder cause they are the NBA’s money maker and they let them get away with alot (they are the current world champs). I agree with Dave’s response that half the fouls from the 80’s would suspend half the rosters today. I do also agree that you have a valid point that players of yester year wouldn’t make starting rosters today, but the idea of todays chat was to examine the dirtiest player in the game (that goes under the radar) D-wade.

if you are going to use caps and be all angry then maybe correct math might be in order.

the 80s were not 40 years ago.

        the 1980 was 33 years ago 🙂

        BOOYA

Without a doubt the dirtiest sneakiest under the radar king of the hill flagrant fouler in the NBA. The guy gets away with murder. HATE HIM HATE THE HEAT HATE THE NBA FOR NOT CATCHING HIM OUT.

      LOVE YOUR WORK HEATHATER

    • Someone is going to foul D-Wade really hard one of these days and he’s going to wonder why??? – but i think he’s pretty soft to boot, I’ve never actually seen him hit anyone from in front it’s always a punch or slap to the back of the head or maylay with Wade shoving someone in the back.

      • SkinnyDunker.com permalink

Sometimes I wonder how you notice this stuff! I was thinking the exact same thing after watching that recent heat loss. Wade hits people hard and I never see him get put up for a Flagrant 1. I want to see what else you come up with?

  3. I pay attention to the little things and especially when Kobe is forced to wear a face guard around for months after and no suspension or fine is issued. I hate that. i think Dwade is spoon fed a hell of alot and he isn’t the quality of Kobe.

  4. 80’s players vs players of today… I think 80% wouldn’t make a starting lineup.

i disagree that players from the 80s wouldnt make the league today.

i would think players from that era would be welcomed to any roster in the nba today.

the toughness and grittyness that 95% of current players today seriously lack.

players that played legit hard defense and crashed the boards with purpose. dove on loose balls. would fight for every possesion.

players like reggie evans who people praise for being hard nosed and aggressive would have been just another face in the crowd in the 80s.

i think the majority of players from today would find it tough to make a roster in the 80s.

the nba today is so diluted with to many teams and having to fill those teams with far less quality players that were available in the 80s. and for anyone who knows about the nbas glory days would agree with this.

    • You are speaking about making hustle plays. Today’s players are the greatest athletes to ever grace the game, I did say 80%. The players from today would out score and have more fundamentals then any player from the pre-90’s era of ball. The game was so much slower the explosiveness from today would kill (DESTROY THE GAME OF OLD) you can’t compare 33 years ago to now. The stats are different the 3 point line is different. Tech fouls are different. Alot of the game of the 80’s was cheap ticky tack fouls and when they hard fouled it would be a flagrant in todays league. The Detroit Pistons would never make a starting line up due to ejections.

Sportscoach is right, 80’s players were all on steroids none of them would pass the physical that is required and you can’t compare todays with 80’s cause the 80’s players were all corrupt and dodge.

  7. Even Jordan agrees… HAhHAHAHA thanks matey… love it… I forgot about the 80’s roids era…. that is just another reason to agree with me 🙂

You idiot “DAVE” Reggie Evans is a machine he would dominate any era.

  9. dave permalink

i think you are short changing their style of play and over estimating todays style.

  10. dave permalink

“blast itall” was obviously dropped on his head and repeatedly beaten as a child.

  11. No name calling Blast. I ain’t short changing anyone.
I am keeping my options open. I examine and think about comparisons alot.
You should think about the explosive athelticism vs the clever strats used. I admitted that 20% would make starting lineups today. But I think it might be as high as 29% but that would be it. They just don’t have the skill set that todays players have.

  12. Blast Itall permalink

“DAVE” You know nothing about the NBA you just watch the game. I have played at Georgetown for three years and I have roomed with pro’s. I have played in the summer pro leagues and I can tell you from experience that the players of today are athletic killers far more so thank any players of old. This era is the best era ever.

blast is just trying to be relevant. hes trying hard 🙂

i just wish i could give him a high 5 for his efforts.

Blast, Your only claim to fame is that you roomed with Pro’s. Sitting on the bench for three years is not really anything to brag about. I hope you were able to get the autographs of the real ball players at least.

    • dave permalink

someone had to pick up after the starters. they are to busy playing minutes to clean up their rooms and do their laundry. blast played a very important role in them being starters. some might say he is a true hero.

wade is a product of the system.

he does what he does cause they let him.

if they didnt want him to be dirty they could stop him. but they choose not to.

  22. I am Dwights Muscle Memory permalink

Blast sounds like he enjoys getting double teamed… lol
Talked to Blasts mom the other day and she said he had the name on his college jersey changed to say “&U* Bandit” cause he ate so much of it….

I’m far from being a dirty player + my intent was never 2 kick Ramon Sessions. I just reacted to the contact that I got from him…. BLAH BLAH BLAH.. just watch the reply u tool

  24. He is a dirty player… Wade is the king and the fact that he reacts to the contact as opposed to controlling himself means that he has a little man complex. 6″4′ little man complex. 16 votes for 2 votes against for Wade being dodge.

  25. dave permalink

remember when chris paul punched a man in the junk 🙂

  26. I am Dwights Muscle Memory permalink

I’ve noticed that this dirty play has become more apparent since Lebron became his team mate…
    Anyone agree?

    • Completely… D-wade was a good guy… now he’s a punk.

    • Sikuarawariti permalink

Yes Dwad is dirty remember when he was at Marquette he pulled the Smith or Rawson around the shoulders as he was going up for a dunk and the kid almost flipped and landed on his back. James has been a good influence = Championship? what else can you say????

      • Sorry, Siku- but you are wrong – Dwad didn’t grab (it was Smith) around the shoulders, that was towards the end of his rookie career. He ran under Smith as Smith went up for a layup then he stood up and caught Smith by the shoulders. That was an accident I’m saying this is way more recent and as mentioned by most he isn’t the same guy he was a nice honest player now he is definately in there scrapping cause his athleticism isn’t the same and his explosiveness isn’t the same. I think when you reach that point in your career that you can’t keep up with others you begin to scrap to make up for gaps in skillset. (My be alittle personal experience in that one :)).

  27. Yes, I think he just doesn’t like the fact that in an interview Kobe said that D-Wade at best was 2nd in order of SG’s in the NBA – naming Kobe first. Do I recall Chris Paul Punching a man in the junk. I can’t remember why he did it but I rememeber thinking Paul, “you ain’t that short”. 🙂

  28. Frenchy permalink

Ya Dwade and Lebron are dirty playerz

  29. 90% that have taken this poll and read this article agree with me.
I can’t wait to watch Miami vs LA- In LA today. LAKERS WILL KILL EM (RRRRRRRRRRRAAAAAAAAAAA).

  30. dave permalink

    MIAMI BY 20

  31. Lakers by 5-6 points. I reckon they work this out. LAKERS 2.0 tonight.

  32. 187er permalink

Wade is a little dirty especially since James has been there cause he thinks he has to prove him self in front of him and show his toughness.

  33. Seriously, I watched the Brooklyn game today vs the Heat and Wade got stripped then running down the other way he rips at the ball with no intent of getting it cleanly it’s so frustrating.
